She was known as the Queen of the Harlem Renaissance and one of the most prolific black female writers of the 20^th century. She spent her final years in Fort Pierce and continues to be honored and recognized for her literary achievements.

3 Young Musicians to Perform at Open House

Three talented music students who were selected for WQCS’ Young Musicians Spotlight show last spring will perform during the WQCS open house Saturday, Dec. 1, at 12:30.

The special half-hour program in the performance studio will include Luke Horgan, a tenor saxophonist who will present a jazz piece that he’s preparing especially for the occasion. Luke is a sophomore at Lincoln Park Academy, where he is in the International Baccalaureate program. He plays in Lincoln Park’s Jazz and Symphonic Bands, directed by Jason Albert.

Geoffrey Zheng will play piano.

One of the problems is finding HD radios in local stores and finding knowledgeable staff to answer the questions you may have. We've found our Local Best Buy store in Jensen beach to be well stocked and knowledgeable about their HD Radio inventory. Currently, they have two models available for automotive installation. They also have three models in the portable audio section. One model is a hand held portable set that works with headphones only. The second is a tabletop set that runs on batteries or AC power.
