Fort Pierce, FL – Drew Mello talks with Katie McCarthy and Missy DuBois co-chairs of the Martin Memorial LifeSavers & the 8th Annual Goombay Bash that will benefit the LifeSavers.

This year's Goombay Bash will take place on Saturday, July 18th at Four Fish Marina in Jensen Beach. The funds raised will be used to purchase technology, equipment and renovations at the Martin Memorial Maternal-Child Department.

Eddie Hudson also remembers hunting birds to add to his family's rice pot for dinner. He says times were hard but life was good when he was growing up in the 1940s and 50s.
