'Save the Chimps' Reopens and 'Port St. Lucie Business Women' Prepare for their Annual Fashion Show Fund Raiser

Fort Pierce - Friday April 22, 2022: This week on in Focus with IRSC Public Media, Ana Paula Tavares, the Chief Executive Officer of Save the Chimps. It's a unique sanctuary for retired and rescued chimpanzees located here in Fort Pierce. They have just re-opened after being closed for COVID for the past two years. All the chimps are doing well. Then we'll hear about the 30th annual Port St. Lucie Business Women Fashion Show. Jessica Parrish is the President of the 'Port St. Lucie Business Women', and Dorothy Kamm is their Public Relations Chair. Everything that is raised from this once a year annual event funds scholarships and grants for women to attend Indian River State College, as well as providing funding for the Business Women's community action grants.
