Fort Pierce - Friday June 10, 2022: This week on 'In Focus' with IRSC Public Media we welcome Treasure Coast Food Bank President and CEO Judith Cruz. She joins us to talk about their Summer Meals Program and the growing need for the services the food bank provides as rising prices make it more and more difficult for parents to provide nutritious meals for their children.

Breakfasts, lunches and snacks are available at more than 14 sites across the Treasure Coast for all kids 18 and younger at no cost. You can learn more about their services on their website at: https://stophunger.org/.

Then we’ll hear from Drew Grey, Director of the David Cardno Father and Child Resource Center in Martin County. The number of fatherless children in our society has reached crisis levels, and the goal of the father and child resource center is to encourage men with children not to leave home, to stay and raise their children and be the best dads they can be. Their annual 'Father Fest' is coming up on Saturday June 18 at Flagler Park in Stuart from 10 a.m. to 12-noon.y're sponsoring

The Center provides valuable support to encourage men to become more involved and committed fathers by offering parenting classes to all fathers, legal assistance for those fathers who are separated from their children, and parenting workshops to other agencies.
