Port St. Lucie - Tuesday September 13, 2022: Port St. Lucie Police have arrested a 16-year old boy on charges of burglarizing vehicles.

According to a news release from PSLPD, officers responded to the 6900 block of NW Daffodil Lane at 3 am Tuesday morning after a concerned citizen called to say they saw someone looking into vehicles and setting off car alarms.

Officers responded to the area immediately and detained a 16-year old boy walking in front of Parkway Elementary. The teen had multiple items sticking out of his jacket pockets which included several stolen wallets, driver’s licenses belonging to different people, credit cards, and over $300 in cash.

Officers determined that he had just burglarized 5 vehicles in the area and they were able to identify all the victims based upon the stolen items. The stolen property was promptly returned to the victims. The teen was transported to the Department Of Juvenile Justice and charged with 5 counts of burglary to a vehicle.
