Indian River County - Monday October 3, 2022: Sunday morning the Indian River County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team deployed to the west coast to help with relief efforts from Hurricane Ian.
IRC Sheriff Eric Flowers gave a briefing to the team as they geared up and got on their way to the disaster zone. They will be working day and night to aid those who have been impacted by the devastation.
“Indian River County was spared from the wrath of Hurricane Ian," said Sheriff Flowers. "We are sending resources to the West Coast to assist our brothers and sisters who need us right now. We will continue to provide assistance as needed. Please keep them in your prayers.”
