Indian River County - Tuesday November 1, 2022: The October 29 deadline for voters to request a vote-by-mail ballot to be mailed for the upcoming November 8 General Election has passed.

However if you missed the deadline, IRC Supervisor of Elections Leslie Swan advises that voters still in need of a vote-by-mail ballot can pick one up at the Elections Office.

A voter can pick up his or her own vote-by-mail ballot at any time prior to Election Day at the Supervisor of Elections office. A voter can also pick up ballots for members of their immediate family and two unrelated individuals. The voter must designate in writing the person who is picking up their ballot, along with the designees identification.

On Election Day, vote-by-mail ballots may not be picked up at the Elections Office unless there is an emergency prohibiting the voter from going to his or her assigned polling place. An affidavit must be executed affirming to the facts that allow for delivery of the vote-by-mail ballot on Election Day.

For more information about designated pick up of vote-by-mail ballots visit VoteIndianRiver.gov or call Vote-By-Mail Coordinator Daisy Zamora at 772-226-4702.
