Martin County - Wednesday November 30, 2022: Martin County Sheriff Deputies have arrested 26-year old Gabriel Alejandro Martinez, of Miami Gardens, and 26-year old Jesus Eduardo Castro of Medley on charges of stealing boating equipment.
A Sheriff's patrol unit conducting a traffic stop on Thanksgiving Day found multiple Garman GPS devices in their vehicle. Deputies also observed gloves, wire cutters and other burglary tools inside their car.
Detectives suspect the pair of stealing more than 20 Garman units from boats in Martin County
They have been charged with vessel burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of a controlled substance. They remain confined in the Martin County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
