South Florida - Wednesday December 28, 2023: Brightline has announced the following lane closures at work zones, railroad crossings and bridges for its ongoing Orlando rail extension project.

Motorists and watercraft should proceed with extra caution through work zones and adhere to posted detour signs, speed limits and other signage.

ORLANDO EXTENSION

ORANGE COUNTY

Orlando International Airport:
* Northbound Jeff Fuqua Blvd. between Station Loop Rd. and Cargo Rd. - Ongoing daily single lane closure, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Q4 2022.

Beachline Expressway/SR 528:

* Eastbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 between Narcoossee Rd. and SR 417 (milepost 13-15) Continuous daytime shoulder closure, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
* Eastbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 between SR 417 and Innovation Way (milepost 16-18) Continuous daytime shoulder closure, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Vero Beach – Railroad Crossing at US-1 and Aviation Blvd (32nd St)
* Southbound US-1 lane closure, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 7, Sunday, January 8, Saturday, January 14 and Sunday, January 15.

Vero Beach – Railroad Crossing at 8th St. / Glendale Rd.
* Full road closure, 7 a.m., Monday, January 9 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 25.

Miami - W. Dixie Highway / Harriet Tubman Highway between NE 202nd St. and NE 195th St. (LONG TERM CLOSURE)
* Full road closure through December 2022. Work is in preparation for Brightline’s Aventura station.
Detour Information:

  • Southbound W. Dixie Highway / Harriet Tubman Highway traffic will be directed to travel west on NE 206th St. or NE 202nd St. and turn south on NE 26th Ave. which joins with W. Dixie Highway / Harriet Tubman Highway south of NE 193rd St.
  • Northbound W. Dixie Highway / Harriet Tubman Highway traffic will be directed to continue north on NE 26th Ave. and travel east on NE 202nd St. to access W. Dixie Highway / Harriet Tubman Highway.
