Indian River Shores and the county threatened to pull customers outside Vero Beach away from the utility. St. Lucie County got good news. A site in Tradition was approved for the state’s seventh veterans nursing home. In Martin County, voters rejected a 1 percent sales tax for maintenance of roads, bridges and drainage. By 72 votes.
