Gunfire Claims the Life of a 31 Year Old Man in Fort Pierce; Two Suspects Sought

Fort Pierce Police Officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 1200 Block of North 27th Street Wednesday night at 11:36 pm. When they got there they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside a Nissan SUV.

Fort Pierce - Thursday July 7, 2022: Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men seen walking away from the scene of a homicide Wednesday night in Fort Pierce. A nearby video camera captured blurred images of the men.

Fort Pierce Police Officers responded at 11:36 pm to a call about a disturbance in the 1200 Block of North 27th Street Wednesday night at 11:36 pm. When they got there they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside a Nissan SUV.

Police Public Information Officer Curtis Jennings told WQCS News that the man was unconscious, and when St. Lucie County Fire Rescue arrived medics declared him dead. The man's identify has not been released, but Officer Jennings said he was 31 years old.

"This is an active investigation," and "the Police Department is working to identify the two black males of interest," said Officer Jennings. "We're trying to get in contact with these gentleman to ask questions, or if anybody can identify them, so please reach out to us," he said.
