Florida - Monday August 15, 2022: The Sunday schedule for Governor DeSantis, issued daily by his office in Tallahassee, said there were no scheduled events, none in Florida that is.

DeSantis was out west Sunday stumping for Republican candidates in both New Mexico and Arizona. In Phoenix he spoke in support of that state’s republican nominee for Governor Kari Lake, a former TV anchor, and 2020 election denier endorsed by former President Trump.

“What’s I’ve told Kari Lake," said DeSantis, "if your willing to keep people on that boarder and keep them from coming in to begin with, I’ll send National Guard to help with that.”

In his remarks, DeSantis echoed the themes he’s underscored at many of his news conferences here in Florida, including criticism of what he called "woke corporations" like Disney which has questioned the Florida law banning class room instruction on gender identity up to third grade. A law which opponents have called the "Don’t Say Gay Bill."

I did not take an oath to subcontract my leadership to a California based corporation with close ties to the CCP," said DeSantis, "and so, we took action and because we did Disney is not going to have its own government anymore, Disney is not going to live under the same laws as everybody else, and Disney is going to pay its fair share of taxes.”

Governor DeSantis also took a shot at the FBI for their execution of a court approved warrant at former President Trumps’ home last week. “They’re enforcing a law based on who they like and who they don’t like. That is not a republic, it’s a banana republic when that happens.”

Earlier in Carlsbad New Mexico, DeSantis spoke in support of republican Mark Ronchetti who running for Governor of New Mexico Governor.

This coming Friday DeSantis heads to Pittsburg Pennsylvania and Youngstown Ohio to support republican candidates in those states.
