Fort Pierce-Friday, April 1, 2022: This Week on In-Focus with IRSC Public Media … The Indian River Lagoon report card … it’s the Marine Resource Council’s annual report on the health of the Lagoon. Despite some improvement in water clarity the Lagoon continues to get an F grade. MRC Executive Director Leesa Souto tells us that’s led to a crisis with sea grass which continues to disappear. She’ll talk about that crisis and the new campaign they’ve launched to do something about it called - “A Thousand Points of Life”.

And later we’ll be joined by Ballet Vero Beach Artistic Director and CEO Adam Schnell, along with Indian River State College Master Instructor of Theatre Alexander Kanter. They’ve launched a Learning Alliance that combines professional performance experience with the dance company, and a quality higher education with Indian River State College. This new fellowship program offers free tuition at IRSC to qualified aspiring dancers.
