Fort Pierce - Friday February 10, 2023: This week on In Focus with IRSC Public Media we’ll hear about the City of Port St. Lucie’s new Office of Solid Waste.

Marianna Feldpausch has recently been named director of the office that was just created last year in the wake of the solid waste woes in the City. She’ll talk to us about the changes in trash collection and how city residents are adjusting to their new solid waste service provider, FCC.

Learn more about the solid waste service on the City's website here: cityofpsl.com/solidwaste

Then we talk with Mark Green and Max Duhalde, Board members of the Fort Pierce Jazz and Blues Society.

The Society celebrated its 25th anniversary this past November. And coming up next month is the Society's annual Jazz Week, starting on March 19. Its one of a number of fund raising efforts held by the Society which offers annual scholarships to talented young musicians who want to pursue a musical education.

Mark and Max will tell us how you can contribute and about their work to keep jazz alive on the Treasure Coast.
