Treasure Coast Essay

Democracy at work

This is Paul Janensch with a Treasure Coast Essay about the 2016 election.  Are you registered to vote in Florida?  Have you already voted early?  For many, it’s a long ballot.  Everyone on the Treasure Coast votes for president, U.S. senator, member of the U.S. House and members of the state legislature.  Plus there are proposed state amendments and, depending on where you live, county races, city races, county referenda and city referenda.  Know in advance how you will mark your ballot top to bottom.  Otherwise, you will hold others up.  Turnout is expected to be high, with the hot presidential race between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump and the hot Senate race between incumbent Republican Marco Rubio and Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy.  Behold, democracy at work.  I’m Paul Janensch.
