Hurricane heroes

This is Paul Janensch with a Treasure Coast Essay about Hurricane Irma heroes.  These are just a few examples.  The TCPalm.com Editorial Board paid tribute to:  The Indian River County sheriff’s office for rescuing eight people from a motel in Sebastian.  A store in Port St. Lucie for providing shelter to a couple who fled their mobile home.  Law enforcement officers in St. Lucie and Martin counties for rescuing two pregnant women.  Readers named more heroes.  A Fort Pierce mother said her 6-year-old daughter proposed taking dinner and a snack to workers repairing nearby power lines.  A Port St. Lucie reader gave a shout-out to the staff at the Save the Chimps sanctuary in St. Lucie County for staying to take care of the occupants.  To all our hurricane heroes, thank you!  I’m Paul Janensch.
