Stuart - Monday May 16, 2022: The Stuart Police Department reports that Jarod Hutchins has been arrested for a March 20th car jacking that took place at the Chase Bank at 2280 SE Federal Highway in Stuart.
The victim’s vehicle was located in Miami Beach. Stuart Police Det. Joe Calderone identified Hutchins as the suspect in the case and with the help of the Martin County Sheriff's Office, and the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force, Hutchins was tracked down in Daytona where he was taken into custody last Friday, May 13.
Hutchins is currently being held in jail for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and carjacking. Bond has been set at $500,000 bond.
