St. Lucie County - Thursday February 9, 2023: The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that SLC Sheriff Chief Deputy Brian Hester has retired.
The Sheriff's office declined further comment.
Hester has accepted the position of County Administrator for Chester County South Carolina according to Chester County Council Member John Agee who spoke with WQCS. Agee said Hester's responsibility would include oversight over most County administrative functions, except for the County Sheriff's Office. Hester begins his new job on March 20, said Agee.
