Fort Pierce Searching for Driver of Vehicle That Fled From Fatal Crash

Fort Pierce - Wednesday November 23, 2022: The Fort Pierce Police Department is appealing to the public for help in finding the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle that plowed into another car Tuesday evening leaving one dead, and another seriously injured.

The crash occurred about 7:41 p.m. at the intersection of South 13th Street and Boston Avenue.

A white Toyota SUV was headed westbound in the 1200 block of Boston Avenue approaching S 13th Street and it failed to yield the right of way to a Kia 4-door sedan coming south towards Boston Avenue.

Acting Fort Pierce Police Public Information Officer April Lee reports that the Toyota crashed into the Kia and then fled the scene.

A man, a woman, and an infant were inside the Kia. The infant was not injured, but the man and woman both were rushed to Lawnwood Hospital. The 18 year old woman died Wednesday morning. The 19 year old man remains in critical condition.

The Fort Pierce Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the driver of the white SUV.
