The 11th Annual Race for Recovery 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Walk is set for September 24 at Indian River State College Pruitt Campus in Port St. Lucie. Presented by Healthcite Pharmacy, the race is held on a fast, fun course and timed by MCM Timing.
All runners and walkers will receive a dry-fit t-shirt, swag bag, refreshments, coffee and cold, cold water! In addition, all participants are recognized with race mementos. Runners in every age group who place receive medals. Overall winners receive valuable gift cards from area restaurants to use at their convenience. And everyone gets bragging rights for starting their weekend on a great foot.
Proceeds from the event support client services at New Horizons, which provides mental health and addiction recovery care to 15,000 children and adults annually through outpatient and inpatient programs conveniently located across the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee.
