Black Heritage Calendar Fest Returns to Melbourne for Its 24th Year
A Celebration of Culture, History, and Community Set for February 21, 2026
Melbourne, FL — The Melbourne-Palm Bay Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Inc. invites the community to the 24th Annual Black Heritage Calendar Fest
(BHCF) on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the
Melbourne Auditorium.
This beloved annual event brings together families, educators, students, and
community members for an uplifting afternoon celebrating African-American history,
culture, and excellence. BHCF 2026 will feature live performances, historic exhibits,
youth and community presentations, local vendors, and a culturally-inspired lunch,
creating a rich, immersive experience for attendees of all ages.
“This festival is about honoring our roots while inspiring future generations,” said event
organizers. “For more than two decades, BHCF has served as a space for learning,
celebration, and connection across our community.”
Highlights of the 2026 festival include:
- Cultural and historical displays honoring African-American heritage, for which the
festival is named.
- Dynamic performances including music, dance, and spoken word.
- A family-friendly environment welcoming all ages
- Opportunities to support local Black-owned and community-focused vendors
The Black Heritage Calendar Fest is designed to complement classroom learning and
faith-based community engagement by providing an interactive, culturally enriching
experience that extends beyond textbooks and traditional programming.
