Governor Makes 23 Appointments to Various State Boards and Authorities

Florida - August 22, 2022: Governor DeSantis Friday made the following appointments:

Ten appointed to the Florida Center for Nursing Board of Directors:

Annmarie Chavarria, PhD - Chavarria, of Lithia, is the Chief Nursing Officer at Tampa General Hospital. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the American Nurses Association. Chavarria earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Holy Family University, her master’s degree in nursing from Drexel University, and her doctorate in nursing practice from LaSalle University.

Kristina Cloversettle - Cloversettle, of Dade City, is Nurse Manager at Advent Health Dade City Hospital. She is a former board member of the Arts in Motion Youth Theatre, Inc. and a volunteer with the Pasco Republican Party. Cloversettle earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and psychology from the University of South Florida.

Julianne Colle - Colle, of Tallahassee, is a Surgical Specialist at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She has held her Registered Nurse License since 2010. Colle earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida State University.

Mary Anne Enns - Enns, of Cape Coral, is a Practical Nursing Instructor with the School District of Lee County. She is a member of the National League for Nursing and the Association for Nursing Professional Development. Enns earned her bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Winnipeg Bible College, her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Viterbo University, her master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, and is currently completing her doctorate in nursing practice at Post University.

Michele Heston, EdD - Heston, of Avon Park, is the Dean of Health Science at South Florida State College. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Florida Pathways Institute, and the Florida Council of Nursing Education Administrators. Heston earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Florida, her master’s degree in nursing from Clarkson College, and her doctorate in educational leadership and higher education administration from Barry University.

Robert Keiser, EdD - Keiser, of Delray Beach, is the Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer of Keiser University and Owner and Vice-Chairman of Southeastern College. He is the Chairman of the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity. Keiser earned his bachelor’s degree in international affairs and his master’s degree in business administration from The George Washington University and his doctorate in higher education leadership from Capella University.

Louisana Louis, PhD - Louis, of Riverview, is the Dean of the College of Nursing at St. Petersburg College and Owner of Prestige Health and Wellness, LLC. Louis earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Florida, her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix, and her doctorate in nursing from Chatham University.

Robin McGuinness, PhD - McGuinness, of Tampa, is the Senior Executive Officer and Chief Nurse Executive of West Florida with AdventHealth. She serves on the Board of Trustees at Saint Leo University and is a member of the Nursing Advisory Committee for Lincoln Memorial University and the University of Tampa’s College of Nursing. McGuinness earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Hartford, and her doctorate in nursing from Florida State University.

Jacqueline Munro, PhD - Munro, of Dunedin, is the Vice President of Nursing Systems and Resources with BayCare Health System. She is past President of the Florida Organization of Nurse Executives. Munro earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tampa and her master’s degree and doctorate in nursing science from the University of South Florida.

Suzanne Wilson - Wilson, of Jennings, is the Practical Nursing Director and Instructor for Riveroak Technical College. She is the former Unit Manager at Advent Christian Village. Wilson earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Excelsior College and her master’s degree in nursing education from Western Governors University.

Four appointed to the Board of Architecture and Interior Design:

Gregory Burke - Burke is the President of Gregory John Burke Architect, PA. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects’ College of Fellows, the Florida American Institute of Architects, and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Burke earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Ohio State University.

Holly Dennis - Dennis is the Owner and Principal of Holly Dennis Interiors. She is the Past President and a current member of the Florida West Coast Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. Dennis earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Marymount University.

Gerald “Steve” Jernigan - Jernigan is the Senior Vice President of Architecture in Pensacola at Goodwyn Mills Cawood. He is the former State President of the American Institute of Architects and previously served on the Escambia County Housing Finance Authority. Jernigan earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental design and architecture from Auburn University.

Timothy Nolen - Nolen is a Risk Advisor specializing in Architects and Engineers Liability at Shea Barclay Group. He was previously the Vice President of Nolen Insurance Services. Nolen earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Central Florida.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Three appointed to the Holmes County Hospital Corporation

Amanda Eldridge - Eldridge, of Ponce de Leon, is the Director of Operations for School Financial Services, Inc. She is the Vice President of the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of the Holmes County Council on Aging.

Jennie Goodman - Goodman, of Bonifay, is a Pharmacist at Golden Drugs and a member of the Florida Pharmacy Association. She has previously served as a member of the Chipola Junior College Board of Trustees. Goodman earned her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Florida.

Martha Robertson - Robertson, of Ponce de Leon, worked as a Consultant Nurse for Sun Health Care and Clear Choice. With over forty years of experience in nursing, she has worked for Collier County and Bay County Health Department. Robertson earned her degree in nursing from Gilfoy School of Nursing.

Four appointed to the Pinellas County Housing Authority:

Chloe Firebaugh - Firebaugh, of St. Petersburg, is the Senior Director of Land Acquisition for M/I Homes of Tampa, LLC. She serves as a Supervisor with the Hillsborough County Community Development District and is a board member of the Urban Land Institute. Firebaugh earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from the University of South Florida.

Veronica Hickey - Hickey, of St. Petersburg, is an Attorney with Englander Fisher LLP. She is the Public Affairs Chair for the Junior League of St. Petersburg, a member of the Federalist Society Tampa Bay Chapter, and a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association. Hickey earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from West Chester University and her juris doctor from Stetson University.

Wayne Mineo - Mineo, of Safety Harbor, is the Owner of Mineo and Associates, P.A. He is a veteran of the Marine Corps, a member of the Federalist Society, and the President of the Rotary Club of Safety Harbor. Mineo earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Canisius College, his juris doctor from California Western School, and his masters of law degree in trial advocacy from Temple University.

Alen Tomczak - Tomczak, of St. Petersburg, is an Account Executive at Cellebrite. He is a veteran of the United States Army and currently serves in the Florida National Guard. Tomczak was previously a Defense Contractor for Solutions in Innovative Tech. Tomczak earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Florida.

Two appointed to the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County:

Melissa Raburn - Raburn, of Lithia, is a Real Estate Agent for Fischbach Land Company. She was previously an Agriculture Teacher for the School District of Hillsborough County and now currently serves as a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Realtors Land Institute, and the Florida Farm Bureau Federation. Raburn earned her bachelor's degree in agricultural education and communication from the University of Florida.

Stacie Ward - Ward, of Odessa, manages Vitreo Retinal Surgeons, LLC. She has also served as a Substitute Teacher for elementary through middle school grades. Ward earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Florida and her juris doctor from the University of California.
