Treasure Coast-March 25,2022: The average rate of unemployment throughout the Treasure Coast in February of this year was 3.3%, according to a report from CareerSource Research. That is a fraction (0.2%) higher than the state jobless rate of 3.1%, and 1.9% lower than a year ago when the jobless rate stood for the Treasure Coast was at 5.2%.
The total labor force in the 3 counties stood at 293,082 in February, up by 6,896 or +2.4% over the same time last year.
Martin County had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.6%; Indian River County's rate was 3.4% and St. Lucie County had the highest jobless rate at 3.5%. In all there were 9,598 unemployed residents across the region in February 2022.
