Fort Pierce-April 6, 2022: Indiantown High School is a new Martin County charter school operated by Indian River State College (IRSC) in partnership with the Martin County School District. It will open its doors on August 10 with an initial enrollment of 75 first-year high school students.

IRSC is encouraging parents interested in enrolling their children in the inaugural 9th grade class to visit the school's website at: indiantownhs.irsc.edu.

The school will focus on career and workforce education. Students will be able to earn career and technical certifications in compliance with Florida's public high school graduation requirements. They will also be able to earn college-level credit through Dual Enrollment.

"Establishing a high school here will greatly improve pathways for workforce and post-high school educational opportunities for the children of Indiantown," states Leslie Judd, Interim Executive Director/Principal of Indiantown High School. "We are delighted to take our next step and share details with incoming ninth-grade students and their families at indiantownhs.irsc.edu."

Initially, the school will occupy a temporary home at the Boys & Girls Club of Indiantown. Later this year IRSC plans to break ground on a state-of-the-art 60,000 square-foot building at Southwest Citrus Boulevard, a project funded by a $10 million gift from an anonymous donor. The investment underscores the donor’s and IRSC's mutual commitment to helping students of all ages, backgrounds and means achieve their dreams through education.

Indiantown High School will be the second high school IRSC operates in Martin County. The Clark Advanced Learning Center is a public charter high school on IRSC's Chastain Campus in Stuart. It opened in 2004. Clark is among the top-scoring Treasure Coast schools based on Florida's school grading system and among the top 20 high schools in all of Florida.
