Martin County - Friday April 29, 2022: The Stuart Police Department has issued a Scam Alert for resident of Martin County. Scammers are targeting residents threatening arrest for missed jury service in an attempt to solicit money.
Neither Martin County Clerk employees nor law enforcement officers will never call seeking payment as a penalty for skipping jury duty.
Authorities ask residents to report such calls to the Martin County Sheriff's Office at 772-220-7000. You can also call the Clerk's Office at 772-288-5568 to verify your jury service record.
