St. Lucie County - Friday May 27, 2022: The City of Port St. Lucie and the United Veterans of Port St. Lucie will provide a moving tribute to our fallen service members on Monday May 30 at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park in Port St. Lucie.
Memorial Day honors the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. The public is invited to join city staff and guests to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
The ceremony will feature guest speakers, including Dr. Chauncelor Howell, GySgt, U.S. Marine Corps retired.
The service will include a performance of “God Bless America” and an armed forces medley by the Port St. Lucie Community Band, a rifle salute, the national anthem, a resounding of taps and more.
Vice Mayor Jolien Caraballo will attend. Veteran Flo Ripperger will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Seating is limited, so arriving early and bringing a chair is recommended.
