Fort Pierce - Friday June 10, 2022: St. Lucie County Sheriff detectives arrested 28-year-old Julius Belle Thursday on drug and firearm charges.
SLC Sheriff Ken Mascara said the arrest follows a two-month investigation which led to the execution of a search warrant in the 100 block of Camelot Drive in Fort Pierce where Belle was taken into custody and "a large amount of illegal narcotics and firearms" were recovered from the home.
Sheriff Mascara said detectives found 1.64 pounds of MDPV; 16.4 grams of crack cocaine; 9 grams of Fentanyl; .3 grams of MDMA, also known as Ecstasy or Molly; two handguns, a Glock 17 with high capacity magazine and a .45 caliber High Point; along with $2,455 in cash.
"We’re committed to ridding this poison from our community that has tragically affected so many families,” said Sheriff Ken Mascara.
Belle has been charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of opium/derivatives with intent to sell, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, trafficking in phenethylamines, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Belle was also arrested on the following warrants by the Warrants Unit: three counts of sale of cocaine, three counts of possession of cocaine with intent to sell, sale of opium/derivative, possession of opium/derivative with intent to sell and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony and booked into the St. Lucie County jail.
