Indian River County - Tuesday June 21, 2022: Fishing Booker, the world’s largest platform for booking fishing trips, has compiled a list of the top summer fishing destinations in the US for 2022, and Indian River County has come out on top.
Indian River County is home to some of the most sought-after game fish in the world. Fishing Booker cites the variety of freshwater and saltwater fishing opportunities along the Treasure Coast. From Blue Cypress Lake west of Fellsmere, and all along the Atlantic coast from Sebastian to Vero Beach, anglers can fish for bass, snook, tarpon, redfish, flounder, snappers, groupers, sharks, mahi mahi, tuna, and marlin.
The number of fishing tournaments also helped boost the County's ranking, including the First Annual Inshore Fishing Tournament, a new tournament this year sponsored by the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
