Two Dead in Port St. Lucie in an Apparent Murder Suicide

Inside the home officers found a 33-year-old woman dead from an apparent gunshot wound, and a 36-year-old man, who was later identified as the victim’s boyfriend, dead "from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound."

Port St. Lucie - Tuesday, July 5, 2022: Port St. Lucie Police are investigating the death of 2 people in an apparent murder suicide.

On Tuesday afternoon at 5:48 pm Police got a 911 call from a concerned neighbor who reported "concerning information about two individuals that reside together" at a home in the 1700-Blk of SW Apache Ave. near the intersection of SW Apache Terrace in Port St. Lucie.

According to a news release from PSL Police spokesman Sgt. John Dellacroce members of the PSL Police SWAT Team "made forced entry into the residence", after officers outside the home "made multiple unsuccessful attempts" to get the residents inside to respond.

The Officers found a 33-year-old woman dead from an apparent gunshot wound, and a 36-year-old man, who was later identified as the victim’s boyfriend, dead "from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound."

The release from Sgt. Dellacroce emphasizes that this was an isolated domestic incident, and PSL police are not looking for anyone in connection with the deaths. "There is no threat to the community", states the release.

As detectives and the Crime Scene Unit continue their investigation, PSL police are asking anyone with information about the deaths to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 772-871-5001.
