26 Year-Old Robert Castro Confesses to Killing His Girlfriend, Turns Himself In

Fort Pierce Police Public Information Officer Curtis Jennings told WQCS that Castro, accompanied by a family member, turned himself into police several hours later.

Fort Pierce - Monday July 25, 2022: 26-year-old Robert Castro turned himself into Fort Pierce Police early Saturday morning and confessed to shooting and killing his 25 year-old girlfriend.

The shooting occurred in the 4500 Block of Timber Ridge Lane early Saturday morning. Fort Pierce Police Officers responded at 3:15 a.m.

There they found the woman lying in the driveway suffering from a gunshot wound. She was declared dead at the scene. Officers determined that the suspect was the victim’s boyfriend, Robert Castro, who reportedly fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

Fort Pierce Police Public Information Officer Curtis Jennings told WQCS that Castro, accompanied by a family member, turned himself into police several hours later.

Castro remains in custody on a charge of first-degree murder.
