According to a news release from the Sheriff's office Deputies began searching for Valdez after receiving multiple reports of a suspicious male photographing young children at the mall and at other Jensen Beach shopping facilities.

"In one case, Valdez even lifted the skirt of a young girl and snapped photos of her undergarments before running off," according to the release on the MCSO Facebook page.

On Wednesday MC Deputies stopped and questioned a man riding a skateboard on Jensen Beach Boulevard near Federal Highway who fit Valdez's description. The man confirmed he was Valdez and admitted to photographing children. Deputies found multiple images of young girls on Valdez cell phone, states the release.

Valdez has been living in the woods in Jensen Beach since moving to Martin County from Utah "where he is suspected to (have been) involved in the same type of perverted criminal behavior."

The MC Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who may have had a run in with Valdez, or may have witnessed his behavior, to call the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at 772-220-7060.
