Indian River County - Tuesday August 16, 2022: The Indian River County Sheriff's Office is asking for information from anyone that may have been stopped and approached by Eric Irizarry, who pretended to be a law enforcement officer.
Irizarry has been detained on allegations of impersonating a law enforcement officer.
According to a notice on the IRC Sheriff's Facebook page, Irizarry recently had an "encounter" with the Sheriff's Office during which he made deputies aware that "he has pulled over vehicles presenting himself as a law enforcement officer."
Irizarry has been driving a white Kia sedan with a blue and red LED display on the inside of his rear window. He also has been seen wearing a U.S. Marshals badge around his neck, and he had an Indian River County Sheriff's business card inside his vehicle.
