They’ll be packing 600 family food boxes for neighbors in need in support of Treasure Coast Food Bank.

Port St. Lucie - Tuesday August 23, 2022: The annual Strike Out Hunger Day with the St. Lucie Mets takes place on Thursday, Aug. 25, at Clover Park in support of Treasure Coast Food Bank.

The St. Lucie Mets players and staff will show their commitment to striking out hunger by helping to build family food boxes that morning from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. They’ll be packing 600 family food boxes for neighbors in need on the Treasure Coast.

Stop by the Treasure Coast Food Bank donation table between 4:30 p.m. and the start of the game at 6:10 p.m. to drop off food items and receive a game ticket.

On Thursday evening, it’s appreciation night for Treasure Coast Food Bank supporters. Anyone bringing five items of non-perishable food will receive a free ticket to that night’s game.

The Mets have a long history of supporting the Treasure Coast Food Bank, including the team volunteering event, and Strike Out Hunger Day at the ballpark.
