Fort Pierce: Utility Bill Assistance to Residents Is Now Closed Following Overwhelming Response

The City Commission allocated $125,000 of the American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (ARPA-SLFRF) to fund the utility assistance program.

Fort Pierce - Monday September 19, 2022: Due to the overwhelming response, the utility bill assistance program offered by the City of Fort Pierce has been closed to applicants.

Currently, staff is in the process of reviewing the applications to verify the information submitted. The initiative was supported, in whole or part, by federal award number SLFRP5533 granted to the City of Fort Pierce by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

The City Commission allocated $125,000 of the American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (ARPA-SLFRF) to fund the utility assistance program.

The eligibility criteria were on a first come, first-completed basis
