The photo of a 10x10 piece of a dock was floating in the middle of the ICW in Sebastian, it has now been removed.

Indian River County - Tuesday November 15, 2022: The Indian River County Sheriff's Office has issued a notice to boaters advising them to be ware of floating storm debris in the water blown in by Hurricane Nicole last week.

There have been a number of reports of debris, especially in the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). Wood, ropes, and other items have been cited, often floating just below the water line.

The Sheriff reports receiving "numerous reports of boat operators narrowly missing debris."

Below is a picture of a damaged dock along the Indian River Lagoon that is still losing bits of wood into the water.
