Fort Pierce - Monday December 5, 2022: Florida East Coast Railway’s Christmas Toy Train returned to Fort Pierce Saturday after a two year absence due to the pandemic.
Hundreds waited patiently waited for the Toy Train’s arrival. Santa Claus delivered toys to the Toys for Tots representatives and gave away goodies to the waiting children.
The toy train started in Jacksonville and traveled to Miami making four stops along Florida’s East Coast at New Smyrna, Cocoa, Fort Pierce and West Palm. Toys were distributed to Toys for Tots representatives at each stop and they will distribute the toys throughout the community.
This annual tradition is operated by Florida East Coast Railway in coordination with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation.
