Lee County - Monday December 5, 2022: The U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is hosting a disaster assistance and hurricane recovery outreach on Tuesday December 6 on Pine Island.
The outreach will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) tent located at 5675 Sesame Drive in the town of Bokeelia, which is at the tip of Pine Island.
Representatives from USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will be at the SW corner inside the large white FEMA tent. USDA staff will provide information and assistance to farmers, ranchers, and agricultural landowners affected by Hurricane Ian in efforts to help them apply for programs that can help with restoration and rehabilitation of farm and ranch land.
