Port St. Lucie - Sunday January 1, 2023: Navigating the many programs, services and organizations that are part of the local child-welfare and adult services communities can be daunting to professionals – not to mention to the families they serve., but 'Communities Connected for Kids' is trying to make the journey a little easier for everyone by hosting a resource fair.
The fair is happening in February but 'Communities Connected for Kids' is seeking vendors now.
The Community Connections Expo takes place February 16, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1860 SW Fountainview Blvd. in Port St. Lucie.
With two floors of booths, raffles, a narcan training and meditation sessions, organizers expect about 200 people to attend the event. The Expo will have a special focus on prevention.
"We hope this event will help educate and connect community providers - those who work with families daily but who may not be aware of certain available resources," said Melanie Baculima, event coordinator and CCKids behavioral health supervisor. "It also allows those same providers to connect faces to names as we all are working together to ensure the safety and well-being of our families.”
Organizers are now taking registration from organizers interested in having a booth at the event. To register, visit www.cckids.net and click the homepage banner. Participants can also register from the same site.
The mission of Communities Connected for Kids is to enhance the safety, permanency and well-being for all children in Okeechobee & the Treasure Coast through a community network of family support services.
