IRCSO: Undercover Investigation Leads to Arrest of Leroy Write on Drug Charges

Indian River County - Thursday January 5, 2023: An undercover investigation conducted by the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has lead to the arrest of 41-year old Leroy White on multiple drug charges.

A release from the IRCSO states that the SIU Detectives utilized various investigative tactics and identified White as a significant drug dealer and supplier in the county.

The evidence was sufficient to obtain a warrant on the following charges:

- Sale of a Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a daycare
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Unlawful Use of a Communications Device

On December 9th, Detectives located White driving a green Nissan Armada in Vero Beach. To avoid a chase, they covertly followed White until he eventually stopped his vehicle. They then blocked White’s vehicle from moving and took him into custody without further incident. He was immediately transported to the county Jail.

During a search of White's vehicle detectives located the following:

- 10 grams of Fentanyl 10 packaged for sale.
- 3.9 grams of Cocaine
- 6.5 grams Methamphetamine
- 14 pills of Clonazepam (Klonopin)
- 5 pills of Oxycodone Hydrochloride
- 9 pills of MPMA
- 8 pills of an unknown substance
- 16 grams of Marijuana

White was previously out on bond for the following offenses:

- 2 charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance Without a Prescription
- Possession and Sale of MDMA
- Manufacture and Delivery of Cocaine
- Possession and Sale of Methamphetamine
- Possession W/ Intent to Sell or Deliver Fentanyl
- Possession of Alprazolam with Intent to Sale
- Sale, Manufacturer, and Delivery of Buprenorphine
- Possession and Sale of Oxycodone
- Trafficking Amphetamines
- Possession of Marijuana
