Port St. Lucie - Wednesday January 18, 2023: The Port St. Lucie Police Department reports that a teenager riding a bicycle to school was hit by a car Wednesday morning. The teen was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
It happened about 6:40 a.m. at Southwest Bellevue Ave and Southwest Cashmere Blvd.
A 15-year-old teenager was in the crosswalk riding his bicycle west on Bellevue Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle heading northbound on Cashmere Blvd.
PSLPD cited the driver of the vehicle for careless driving.
