Martin County - Monday February 13, 2023: Martin County Sheriff Deputies have arrested 25-year old Edward Dalessandro with armed burglary, aggravated assault on a firefighter and petit theft.
Dalessandro, a resident of Philadelphia, is accused of breaking into the MCSO fire station on NE Ocean Boulevard around 10 p.m. Sunday night following the Eagles defeat by the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. He was wearing an Eagles t-shirt.
Inside the station, he is alleged to have ransacked the bunk rooms, urinated on the carpet and stolen $126 uniform hat, and some knives.
When firefighters confronted him, he threw a meat cleaver at them. The firefighters were able to contain him until Deputies arrived and arrested him and took him to the Martin County Jail.
