FDOT to Host a Public Meeting for the US 1 Bridge Replacement Project in Jupiter

Jupiter - Friday February 24, 2023: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a Public Meeting both in-person and virtually for the Palm Beach County US 1 Bridge Replacement Project from CR A1A to CR 707 on Tuesday, February 28, and Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Information will be provided on the 20-month closure of the bridge, beginning March 13, 2023.

The in-person meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, at the Jupiter Community Center, located at 200 Military Trail, Jupiter. The in-person session will have an informal open house format with project staff available to answer questions and discuss the project. Project documents will be available at the meeting and at: www.fdot.gov/projects/jupiterus1bridge/main.

During the online session, there will be brief presentations followed by comments and questions from the public. Project staff will be available to answer questions and discuss the project. Questions will be answered as time allows and in the order received. If a question is not addressed during the meeting, a response will be provided in writing following the meeting. The project improvements in the Town of Jupiter consists of replacing the US 1 bridge (Bridge No. 930562) over the Loxahatchee River. Construction began in October 2021 and is anticipated to be completed in early 2026. The estimated construction cost is $122 million.
