Fort Pierce - Thursday March 2, 2023: The St. Lucie County Clerk's Office advises that 173 County businesses and individuals are collectively owed $535,190.23.

The unclaimed funds include parties to tax deed cases, garnishment deposits, or overpayments on recorded documents, such as mortgages and deeds.

The amounts waiting to be claimed range from $1.43 all the way up to $124,013.52 and can be easily viewed on the Clerk’s website.

“It’s quick and easy to check to see if there are funds in your name waiting to be claimed,” said Michelle R. Miller, St. Lucie County Clerk and Comptroller. “Regardless of the amount, we want to get these funds to their rightful owners.”

To see if you are owed any unclaimed funds, search the list at stlucieclerk.gov/unclaimed.

Instructions on how to submit a claim are available on the website, and after a request is validated, a new check will be mailed to the verified address.

Completed claim forms must be postmarked on or before Mar. 31, 2023. For more information about the Clerk’s office, visit stlucieclerk.gov.
