8th Annual Treasure Coast History Festival

The St. Lucie Historical Society will host the 8th Annual Treasure Coast History Festival on Saturday, January 11th from 9am to 2 pm.

This is the second year this popular event is being held on the grounds of the St. Lucie Regional History Center located on South Hutchinson Island at

414 Seaway Drive in Fort Pierce.

This year’s festival includes free admission to the festival and museum, historical presentations, storytellers, area historical societies’ exhibits,

antique automobiles, book sales, live music from Uproot Hootenanny and Kyle Kraft, children’s activities, Summerlin’s fish fry, tasty BBQ and more.

This year’s guest speakers are located in the Speaker’s Tent and include:

9:30 am: Florida Cowboy Artist: Brad Phares
11:00 am: The Ashley Gang: Gregory Enns
12:30 pm: Pioneer Food: Anne Sinnott
1:15 pm: Miss Hatti Chamberlain: Steve Hoskins & Terry Howard

This year’s Storytellers are located in the Barn and include:

10:00 am: “Growing Up in Saint Lucie Village”: Steve Hoskins & Terry Howard with
Julie Lounibus and John & Ron Rohm
11:00 am: “Florida Fishing”: Captain Sam Crutchfield
12:00 pm: “Metal Detecting & Treasure Hunting”: Terry Shannon & Fred Banke
1:00 pm: “History of Local Paintings”: Billy Johnson

Parking for the festival is available at Causeway Cove, located at the east end of the South Beach bridge.
