Paws In Pink Breast Cancer Paddle With Your Pup
Jupiter, FL – The Lighthouse Dragons dragon boat team is making waves this October with its 10-year anniversary celebration and Breast Cancer Awareness Month tribute: “Paws in Pink Breast Cancer Paddle Your Pup.” This family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, with registration opening at 9 a.m. and festivities kicking off at 10 a.m. at Blueline Surf & Paddle and the waterfront at Guanabanas, 997 North Highway A1A, Jupiter, Florida. Water-loving participants – and their four-legged friends – are invited to dress in pink and paddle the Intracoastal Waterway on non-motorized, human-powered watercraft, creating a striking “sea of pink” to honor breast cancer fighters, survivors, and supporters.
“This event is more than just a paddle—it’s about celebrating the strength of survivors, raising awareness, and bringing our community together in a fun, meaningful way,” said Heidi Kirk, President of the Lighthouse Dragons. “We will also be honoring several community members who have gone above and beyond in the fight against breast cancer,” she added.
Event Highlights Include:
- Paddling extravaganza for participants and their pups in pink costumes
- Dragon boat paddling experiences with the Lighthouse Dragons team (for ages 14 & up)
- Prizes for Best in Show and Most Festive Watercraft
- Pet adoption tent hosted by South Florida Mutt Rescue
- Raffles, swag bags, and event merchandise
Participation Costs:
- $35 – Paddle Participants receive a swag bag and event T-shirt;

Safety Reminder: All paddlers must bring and wear a personal flotation device (PFD). Pets must be always on a leash and under the control of the owner.
