It all started with a surprise Amazon delivery. The very first socks of the year landing on Barry Shapiro’s doorstep before the drive even officially begins. That spark of generosity has grown into a community movement that’s delivered tens of thousands of brand-new socks to neighbors in need. Over the past 7 years 63,178 new pairs of socks have been collected and distributed to those less fortunate and in need.

Now it’s time to celebrate that momentum in true feel-good fashion.

Join H.A.L.O. and the Rescues on Saturday, February 21st for an incredible evening at the American Muscle Car Museum! This is a one-of-a-kind event set inside one of the most impressive private automotive collections in the world.
This stunning 123,000-square-foot museum houses the personal collection of renowned car enthusiast Mark Pieloch, who has spent more than 40 years amassing over 400 remarkable vehicles.
From iconic 1950s –1970s American muscle cars to modern, sophisticated powerhouses like the 2022 Ford GT, this collection is nothing short of spectacular.
General Admission and VIP tickets are now on sale. VIP guests will enjoy an exclusive private tour of the museum with owner Mark Pieloch beginning at 5:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for General Admission ticket holders.

This elegant evening also marks the official release of the 2026 Vintner Dinner pairings - including hosts, chefs, and featured wineries. Tickets for these exclusive dinners go on sale during the event.

February 27th 2026 is one of Learn to Read of St Lucie County major fundraising events: Feast for Literacy "Read Between the Wines" this will be our 16th Annual event. We will have a one hour cocktail reception, followed by a sit down dinner with live music. The gala will have a Silent Auction, Raffle, 50/50 drawing and Wine Pull as the main features of the night. We expect 100-150 people to attend which include our major donors, sponsors, and Literacy supporters. The Jensen Beach Garden Club’s much-loved Garden Expo is growing — literally! Now in its 5th year, the popular spring event is moving to Memorial Park in downtown Stuart, offering more space, more food trucks, and more fun than ever. Visitors can enjoy free parking, an easy shuttle service, and free raffle prizes every hour throughout the day. With over 40 plant and garden vendors, this year’s Expo will showcase the best local vendors offering lush tropical plants, native species, vibrant orchids, and unique finds like bonsais, herbs, and outdoor art. Stock up on gardening supplies, learn from live presentations, and enjoy hands-on demos. It’s a fun and educational day for all plant lovers, from beginners to seasoned pros! Presenters include sessions on succulents, vegetable gardening, anthuriums and everything you wanted to know about the C-44 Reservoir and Storm Water Treatment Area. It’s a full day of shopping, learning, and celebrating everything green and blooming.

More than just a garden show, the Garden Expo helps the community grow, too, thanks to the many sponsors and volunteers. One hundred percent of Expo proceeds fund college scholarships for local students pursuing horticulture and environmental studies, as well as camperships for children attending the Florida Oceanographic Society and Environmental Studies Center summer programs. The Club also supports Junior Master Gardener programs and the House of Hope Community Gardens.

The thunder of hooves, the pop of champagne, and the swirl of standout style return to Port Mayaca Polo Club on Saturday, March 7th for the Molly’s House Polo Classic, presented by the Herold-Cadorette Family.

Guests will enjoy fast-paced polo, the beloved Champagne Divot Stomp, and lively Best Hat and Most Dapper Man moments, along with VIP paella and open bar hospitality. The day blends elegance and excitement — all in support of Molly’s House, which provides affordable accommodations for families traveling for medical treatment, including many facing cancer care.

Let's tackle the fishing line debris problem together! Help us sort monofilament fishing line from other fishing tackle that we collected from our 49 monofilament recycling tubes that are located throughout Indian River County. This is a great opportunity for service hours and team building!

We'll be meeting at Wabasso Bait and Tackle Shack where we will give a brief presentation on the importance of properly recycling fishing line before we hop into sorting. Bring your heavy duty gloves if you have some and we hope to see you there!
