You are invited to: The 4th Annual Memorial Drive. The Memorial Drive is for participants who would like to remember family and friends who were severely hurt or killed by impaired drivers. A few minutes before 9:00 a.m., we meet at the entrance to the Savannahs Park on Midway Road in St. Lucie County. We are then escorted by St. Lucie County Law Enforcement as we drive east, and then drive on Indian River Drive, along the waterfront, passing the marker of a young mother who was killed by a drunk driver. We end our procession at Old Fort Park where participants are invited to say a few words in memory, or support those who are honoring their loved ones. No later than 10:15 we finish the Memorial and everyone is free to go. Some participants, however, do choose to meet afterwards at a local café to continue to visit, support each other, and share memories.
